How do I delete my account?

Delete your account in the app

1. Open Hook It and go to More → Personal Information.
2. Scroll to the Danger zone.
3. Press and hold the Delete account button until it fills.
4. Read the final dialog and tap Yes, delete.

You are signed out of every device straight away.

Changed your mind? You have 7 days

For 7 days your account is kept but locked. Log in again and tap Restore account to get everything back exactly as it was. We also email you a confirmation with the date your account will be erased.

What happens after 7 days

An automatic process permanently erases your personal data:

• your email, name, username and profile picture
• your sign-in details, including Apple and Google links
• your notes, collections and tags
• your push notification tokens and device information
• your subscriber record at our payment provider

Some information is kept in anonymous form, with nothing that identifies you:

• links you saved and their cached previews, which we may reuse as cached copies
• billing and subscription records that we must keep for tax and accounting
• aggregated usage and error statistics

Before you delete

• Subscriptions are not cancelled automatically. Cancel Hook It Pro in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, otherwise you may still be charged.
• If you signed in with Google, you can also remove Hook It from your connected apps at myaccount.google.com/connections.
