1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading or using hook it ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Use of the App
hook it is a personal content-saving tool. You may use it to save links and content for your own personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to use the App to store or share illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
3. Account Registration
To use hook it, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
4. Plans, Subscriptions and Fair Use
Plans. hook it offers a free plan (Hook Lite) and a paid plan (Pro). Features and limits of each plan are described in the App and may change over time. The free plan includes a daily number of full saves and a maximum number of active collections; saves above the daily number are still stored with basic details.
Billing. Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment, renewal, cancellation, free trials and refunds are handled by the store under its own terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Fair use.Smart Hooks use automated and AI processing that has a real cost for each item. Pro includes Smart Hooks on your saves for your normal personal use, subject to a fair-use limit on how many Smart Hooks (new saves and Make Smart upgrades) can be created in a rolling 24-hour period. Normal personal use stays well within this limit. The limit is set by us, may change at any time to keep the service sustainable and to prevent abuse, and is not guaranteed to be any specific number. When it is reached, new saves are stored as Hook Lite and can be upgraded later. Reaching the fair-use limit does not mean the service is unavailable and does not entitle you to a refund, credit or compensation. References to Smart Hooks "on every save" are subject to this fair-use limit.
Store accounts and transfers. A subscription belongs to the App Store or Google Play account that paid for it, not to a hook it account. If another hook it account on the same App Store or Google Play account purchases or restores purchases, the subscription may move to that hook it account, and the previous account returns to the free plan. Items already saved, including existing Smart Hooks, stay in each account.
Personal use only. A Pro subscription is for one person. You may not share, resell, rent or rotate a subscription between accounts, or use scripts or automated means to create Smart Hooks. We may limit Smart Hook processing, remove Pro features, or suspend accounts involved in such use, without refund to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded, including the Australian Consumer Law.
5. Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by hook it and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Content you save remains owned by its original creators.
6. Third-Party Content
hook it saves links to third-party content. We do not host, control, or take responsibility for third-party content. Use of third-party platforms is subject to their respective terms of service.
7. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, hook it shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the App (More → Personal Information → Danger zone) or by submitting a request on our account deletion page. Deleting your account signs you out of all devices and starts a 7-day period during which you can log in to restore it; after that your personal data is permanently erased as described in our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription or entitle you to a refund. Cancel subscriptions through the App Store or Google Play.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance.
